Car Show -
and Safe-Surfin' EZ-ID Event
Benefit for Lynchburg Police Foundation
The 715 Lynchburg Lodge Moose Legion Committee hosted its 3rd Anual Car Show Saturday, April 16th, 2022, as a benefit fundraiser for the Lynchburg Police Foundation.
Events included the Car Show, Door Prizes, 50 / 50's, and a Free EZ Child ID Event making the world a safer place for our children.
Lynchburg Police Foundation and members of the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD), including Chief Ryan Zuidema, attended the day-long car show to promote the LPF nonprofit and its efforts.
Throughout the day, members of the LPD Drone Team demonstrated one of its drones funded by the LPF. Interested citizens, following instruction by the Drone Team, had the opportunity to fly the drone above the Moose Lodge parking lot. Also available at the day’s event were members of the LPD Community Action Team who shared information with attendees the significance of building community relationships. A valuable tool in the process is use of the community trailer, which was also on display and funded by the LPF.
Catching everyone’s attention at the fundraiser was the LPD’s new black-and-white-designed police vehicle, which was on exhibit for all to see.
The 715 Moose Lodge donated $1,246 from the day’s events to the LPF. A check was presented to Chief Zuidema by Greg Kirby of the Moose Lodge.
Many Thanks for Photo contributions from Lynchburg Police Foundation and Lindsey Brown.
